Born in Odintsovo, Moscow Region. In 2007 he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and was accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet Company. The tutor is Alexander Vetrov. Since 2022 he has been the Premier of the Bolshoi Ballet.
He is a member of the jury on the TV channel "Culture" in the program "Big and Small".
Three times nominated for the Golden Mask theater award.
He was awarded the "Soul of Dance" award in the "Star" nomination.

In 2013 he participated in the Moscow International Ballet Competition, where he received a Silver medal.
She was born in the city of Orel, and from the age of 6 she studied at a choreographic school. At the age of 10, as the best student of the school, she was engaged to enter the Moscow State Academy of Choreography at the Bolshoi Theater. After graduating from college with honors, she was accepted into the troupe "Kremlin Ballet" in the status of prima ballerina, where she worked for 9 years, playing the main roles. Later, after spending one season at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater, she was invited to join the troupe of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.
Kristina Aleksandrovna performed on the most famous stages of the world, where she was noted by various critics who noted her amazing technique, training, and of course, artistry.
Included in the ranking of the 25 best ballerinas in the world according to Dance Magazine, winner of the Triumph award, laureate of the Soul of Dance award in the Rising Star nomination, Laureate of All-Russian and International competitions, awarded the Dance Open International Ballet Prize in the Miss virtuosity".
In 2017, she was a guest of honor during the opening of the Oryol Children's Choreographic School named after E.M. Pankova".
Over the past 10 years, she has been performing on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, dancing, preserving the traditions of the Russian school, proudly representing the Oryol school. Performs the main roles such as: Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Giselle (Giselle), Kitri (Don Quixote), Marie (The Nutcracker), Anyuta (Anyuta), Gamzatti (La Bayadère), Jeanne (Flame of Paris), Julette (Romeo) and Juliet) Esmeralda (Esmeralda) and many others.
James is an award-winning dancer and choreographer based in the UK and working internationally. He is a storyteller who seeks to give his audiences pause for thought in an ever-complex world.
James trained as a gymnast before graduating from the Laban Dance Centre with a first-class degree and was awarded The Marion North Award for outstanding achievement in performance. He danced with Richard Alston Dance Company, and in 2013, he joined Company Wayne McGregor to tour extensively for many years. In 2013, James was awarded the New York Times Award for Best Duet (James Pett & Elly Braund) from Richard Alston's Unfinished Business (2013).
After leaving Wayne McGregor’s Company in 2019, James continued his career as a freelance artist, both as a dancer and choreographer. His long-lasting artistic partnership with Travis Clausen-Knight led them to create their company Pett | Clausen-Knight.
Since 2019, James and Travis have presented their works for stage and screen internationally in theatres, platforms and festivals such as Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Festival Exister in Milan, Festival Morelos Danza (Mexico), Korea, Australia, Thailand Cultural Centre, Black Box Festival in Bulgaria, Florence Dance Festival, New National Theatre in Japan, and many more.
Over the years they have been called by international companies to work as guest choreographers and artists, creating works for: Bangkok City Ballet (Thailand), Los Talleres (Mexico), DANCEHAUSpiù, Encore Dance Company.
November 2022 saw the official premiere of the critically acclaimed duet IMAGO, their first full piece. IMAGO continues to tour throughout 2023 and has been presented so far in Italy, New York, Mexico, Thailand and Bulgaria. IMAGO also received the Europe in Dance Grand Prix award as best duet (2021).
Starting January 2023 they have been appointed associate artists of DANCEHAUSpiù, National Production Centre for Contemporary Dancein Milan, which supports their latest creations In the Absence and After Echoes.
Their works for screen include a number of dance films such as A Space Left Blank, honourably mentioned for best choreography at the New Renaissance Film Festival; Doldrums music video by Silverhours (2023) and Beast by Veronica Furman (2023).
Born in South Africa, Travis has developed a significant career dancing for choreographers such as Wayne McGregor CBE, Michael Clark, Matthew Bourne, Bawren Tavaziva, Holly Noble, Tim Podesta and Alexander Whitley. As a dancer for these renowned artists he has undertaken international tours performing on stages such as the Bolshoi, New York City Centre, Sadlers Wells, Palais Garnier, Bastille and many more.
Among several other awards in both film and dance, Travis received the award for Best Choreography with: Exposure at the Korean International Contemporary Dance Competition (2021); A Space Left Blank at the New Renaissance Film festival (2022). With Exposure, he also received the Audience Award and Best Performance Award at the Solocoreografico Festival 2022.
He has choreographed a variety of works such as Linear, Exposure, ProXimity, Stutter and Informal Between which have all had international premieres in countries such as Japan, Australia, Italy, Korea and UK.
After leaving Wayne McGregor’s Company in 2019, Travis has continued on as a freelance dancer and choreographer.
Together with James Pett he has been creating several works such as Man of the Crowd, Eye of the Storm, Thou Art the Man, I Stood Amid the Roar and several more.
Additionally, he has successfully directed a number of dance films such as A Space Left Blank, honorably mentioned for best choreography at the New Renaissance Film Festival, Doldrums music video by Silverhours (2023) and Beast by Veronica Furman (2023).
His long-lasting artistic partnership with James Pett led them to create their company Pett | Clausen-Knight.
