Evgeniya Popova

Evgeniya Popova is an accordionist, pianist, composer, laureate of international competitions, and a member of the ensembles Pedro y Juan, Korolev Popova, and the Evgeny Grinko ensemble. She is also the author of music for animated films and theatrical productions in London, as well as an experienced educator.
Beginning her musical path at the age of eight, Evgeniya continued her education through a specialized music school and college, culminating in a postgraduate degree from the Gnessin Academy of Music in 2016. She has successfully performed across Europe, Turkey, UK and the Balkans. Her repertoire reflects a deep admiration and love for minimalistic music, tango and French musette, as well as her original compositions. A special place in her program is dedicated to Astor Piazzolla and his tango nuevo, featuring rare masterpieces and iconic works in the genre that convey profound life meanings through the compact form of music.
Currently, Evgeniya is pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Therapy while having recently completed the “Film Music” course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
